Anything that is worth teaching can be presented in many different ways. These multiple ways can make use of our multiple intelligence. The theory of “Multiple Intelligence” was proposed by Howard Gardner in 1983 in his book “FRAMES OF MIND : The Theory of Multiple Intelligences”.
When a child is thriving, there is no reason to spend time assessing intelligences. But when the child in NOT thriving –in the school or at home-that is the time to apply the lens of multiple intelligence and see whether one can find ways to help the child thrive in different environment. Unlike IQ, Multiple Intelligence is dynamic. Children should be exposed to different activities and experiences to find out where the intelligence lies.
